I'm currently sending off a form to shortlist my name for interview on a role with a fairly high end aviation company.
One question they are asking is:
How would you answer this question?
I've spent some time thinking about this and have drafted the following:
The role itself is something I am familiar with as I currently do the same role for the company I am at now and am fully confident in this type os position. I want to try and portray confidence yet still show that I will need help for the first few months and will request it from my colleagues when needed and be a team player at the same time.
Does this sound about right?
I got my existing job ages ago without having to fill in such forms and instead having just a good old fashioned interview so this is new to me
I was never a member of the writer's club at school!
Cheers!
One question they are asking is:
Describe how you would approach your first three months in this role and how you would gain credibility, respect and an understanding of this business
How would you answer this question?
I've spent some time thinking about this and have drafted the following:
I will have already learnt about the company and its services/ideas by visiting the website but I would also want to learn about the people who deliver this service. I would get to know my new colleagues and build working relationships with them the same way I have done successfully at ***.
I would want to know what is expected of me for this role not only by management but also from my fellow colleagues to be able to do it in well and then I would strive to go beyond any set targets whenever possible.
I would expect that as a team I would be given help when needed so that once I am fully trained with the company and its services/support I too can pass on this experience to someone else who may be starting new so that we all work together at all times.
If a situation came about where I was unsure and stuck with something I would ask for assistance at all times instead of waiting to be asked.
