I had a sit in the brand new red Elise R at the motor show on Saturday, it was pretty nice :cool: . But I was told that red paint tends to fade?
 
poor quality red paint that isn't looked after will fade. there are no problems with good quality red paint that is looked after.

soon there will be enough elise owners on here to combat the mondeos and BMWs :D

Exige has the same engine as the 111R, it's just really the bodywork, suspension and alloys that differ. It's actually a bit slower than the 111R due to the extra weight but there's nothing in it really.

I like the Exige but I'd need to test drive one first, the suspension might be a bit too track orientated for me. I do however like them more now that I know you can get a proper soft top conversion (having the roof off and hitting 6200rpm is an orgasmic experience!)

There was plenty of heat in them ;) They just didn't stick as well as my Bridgestones. I've got to admit that they do look far better though.
 
And here's some pics as promised. Colour looks a bit crappy, probably just my camera as it's not actually that bad in real life.



Yokos which look nice but don't seem to be as sticky as my Bridgestones. It might be a geometry difference I guess. More investigation required.



New LED rear lights look quite cool. Not sure if I'd pay £400 for them though

 
Looks very similar to the colour that was at the motorshow last week. When I sat in it I had to try very hard not to try and drive off with it! :)

Didnt manage to get to the dealership today to test drive, the friend i'm going with was asked to work this afternoon. I was pretty disappointed :(

But at least I get to ride to and turn up at the garage in his TVR :D :cool:

Hopefully that'll bag me a test drive hehe
