Hi guys

I'm getting towards new contract time and I'm considering O2, so I've a few questions as I haven't been with them for mobiles before.

Customer service
I do use O2 for broadband and home phone and on the very rare occasion I've needed to contact them they have been superb with customer service, is the mobile section the same?

Data Allowance
I'm looking at a contract that offers 500MB of data per month...is that easy to live with? I'm with T-Mobile currently which is all bundled in so I don't need to think about it.
I would be using it for general surfing when out and about and probably price checking with a bar code checker more than anything, I wouldn't be watching stream video as that's obviously a bandwidth hog.

Discounts
Are you able to get discounts on your broadband bill if you have a contract phone like you can if you top up on a PAYG?

1) Yes always found CS to be very helpful when compared with other networks

2) Depends if you use 3G.....I'm always browsing out and about but I only ever usually have GPRS so I use no more than 90Mb a month.

3) Yes you do get a discount, quite a decent one as well

My GF is with o2 and she has 500mb. she uses her mobile for 3 emails accounts all the time, loads of facebook and web browsing.
I dont think she ever went over 500MB and if she did, O2 never told her/charged her ;)

if you dont watch youtube etc all the time 500MB is sufficient for a normal user.

as for discounts, as she has mobile with them, we do get discount on home broadband

I'd test the network first with a PAYG sim or something to make sure it's adequate for your needs.
The O2 home broadband deals are not as good as they used to be, are you happy with the new contracts?

Their customer support is great but they do take their time to answer. I have been waiting 25 minutes to get in touch.

Also their coverage is poor in rural areas.
