Not really looked at computer stuff for just over a year now so and I have the upgrade itch again. I think I'm interested in going for an i5 750 based setup though I'm not sure on which other components to get.

I need a decent P55 based board for overclocking, doesn't need to have sli/crossfire but USB 3 and sata 6gb would be nice (but not really essential). It needs to be a decent overclocking board as well.

What RAM is it worth getting? What difference does the voltage make as some are 1.65v and some are 1.8v. Is it worth going for 8gb over 4gb (using win7 64bit) and will that hinder overclocking?

Cheers

Dave

First motherboard(s) that springs to mind for me would be the Gigabyte P55A board - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-256-GI&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=1693 or the ASUS equivalent http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-389-AS&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=1693

I dont believe you would need any more than 4GB unless doing something special that requires more, as such I would recommend something along the lines of G.Skill 4GB (2x2GB) - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-042-GS&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=1517 it seems a decent spec for the price.
