i have 2 ide hard drives and 1 connected externally via usb. If i was to get a 4th drive could i use SATA via usb?would this work? I used a SATA drive before and tried to use it with the PCI slot but that didny work. Do you think it would work via usb instead? thanks for any help!

Not quite sure what you're asking here, I'm assuming you want to use the SATA drive externally.

Well, if you certainly can. You will have to purchase the relevant SATA external drive housing though.

Apologies if this isn't what you're asking, I've had a long day :o

Edit: This would be what you're after if you want to use the SATA drive via USB:
Enermax External Enclosure EB305C IDE/SATA to USB2.0 - Silver (HD-002-EN) at http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/HD_Accessories.html
