Right fellas. im about to sell my ps2 and all the games etc to get me a wii. :D

now i know i want one no matter what... but can you kinda people please help me with these questions

1. Wii.. dvd player or not?.. im thinking no.. but as i only have the ps2 to play dvds.. will i have to buy me a dvd player?

2. Ive got a network hub within 2 meters of where the wii will sit.. but its all wired.. hows i connect my wii to this?

3. What games am i to look out for?

Please help me with these questions you nice nice people :P
 
1. No, it doesn't play DVDs

2. Wait for Nintendo to release their Wii USB to ethernet adapter, which means you can then wire your Wii to your hub.

yeah i just saw that somewhere.. but i cant wait that long.. i need a wii now ;)

ive got the manager of a well known store giving me a call as soon as they arrive :P.. then its leave work.. and go get :D
 
Zelda is great, Wii Play is worth the fiver on top of a remote (£34.99 for game and remote), and I personally like the look of Call of Duty 3, Red Steel, Need For Speed Carbon and Rayman Raving Rabbids. :D

I know you may think it daft, but please remove the name of the supermarket as now OcUK do consoles its classed as a competitior. :)

PS Just replied to you comment in Motors Re:Sunderland, youll be happy to know I was in the Metro Centre on Thursday at midnight picking up my Wii, or maybe not :D

Games wise Im not sure whats the best, not tried out that much but looking at picking up Monkey Ball before Xmas I think.

i was gonna que up.. but my wages didnt go into the bank till 12 midnight.. and sometimes they are late.. so ggrr lol
 
I was quite lucky as my brother pre-ordered and no longer wanted it, although after playing on it for a bout 4 hours last night I think he might change his mind. :)
 
I thought the Wii could play DVDs, not tried as I have dedicated dvd players but I am sure I read that it plays DVDs.
 
Not from my internet searching... but meh..

just sold the ps2 for £140... so mission get a wii.. is on like donkey kong next week! :D
