Quick 1.8T VAG question..

Got the call, all fixed so couldn't have been anything bad. Service drone didn't know what the problem was, I'll find out later.

Worth getting a cable and vag-com, can check for any errors yourself then and clear them.

I checked last night and seem to have a pre-cat lambda sensor problem although it hasn't come back after 40 miles of clearing it- so fingers crossed!

Also boost spikes? Shouldn't be getting these at all with a good map, nothing to do with just running on a n75.

Don't agree, its to do with the regulation of the boost via the valves nothing to do with the map, its how fast the valves and bypass can open / close depending on the boost levels.

The more you up the psi via the map the faster the valves have to work.

whilst on the topic of the 20v turbos, does any other VAG car, apart from the TT, use the 1.8T and 4 motion?

edit/ S3 and A4 too presumably, any others?

I assumed as well that the boost drops off like that to go easier on the turbo. To hold a bar for example throughout the rev range means a lot more air needs to be flowed at 5000 rpm compared to 3000rpm. Seems boost drops like that on most modern turbos.
