I want to sell my 3 RROD 360 but concerned about my account auto logging in.....if I remove the hard drive which has always been attached to the 360 will they still be able to log into my account if they fix it or am I right in thinking all the information will be stored on the HD?

Removing the HDD will stop that. Or you could reclaim your account on another Xbox.
