Right, have got my free upgrade on the 17th and can't decide what to go for to replcae my k800i (which turned out to be a great phone tbh). The following have got my attention though:
  • N95 8GB
  • Nokia 6500 Slide
  • Samsung Tocco
The only thing that worries me about the N95 8GB (as via reviews it seems to have everything you could want on a phone) is the size. As i'll be carrying this phone around a lot this is important. What do N95 8GB think?

The tocco/6500 caught my eye as it seems so compact, looks like an iPhone and seems to get all round positive reviews.

I am going to nip up town to have a play with them all at some point too :)

Thx

I cant really help, but i would say playing around with them will help you decide.

Take it from someone who has carried a massive phone (O2 XDA EXEC) , it becomes bloody annoying. Maybe look at the N82 if you can , apparently like a smaller N95.

Have only seen the original silver N95 from a distance and couldn't decide. It didn't look that big.

However, after reading some reviews this samsung tocco is really growing on me :)

The Samsung Tocco is awesome, I got mine a few days ago, it also came with a free 8GB upgrade. I think its mile better than my iPhone, I haven't yet sold my iPhone cos I use it for work (occasionally) but I will never go back to the iPhone as my day to day phone. The Tocco is light, stylish, simple, just brilliant all round imo, the Tocco has so many advantages over the iPhone the only difference is it doesn't have the same WOW factor when you say, "I have an Apple Iphone".

lol lol and lol.

Just called up voda for an upgrade to a tocco. Apparently none of these are in stock for an age, so decided to go with the N95 8GB as didnt want to wait. Didn't want to pay anymore and wanted to simply get a free upgrade on my £24/m price plan.

Now the first person i called wanted a £300, yes £300 contributon for the phone sdtaying on my original plan. He explained how poor voda were and how they were paying £200 too, oh how i wept for them. After a lot of haggling he told me he only has a certain amoutn of money to 'spend on customers' each day and that his quota was nearly up for the day (if i'd have called first tging in the morning could i have saved myself a couple of hundred quid????).

At this point i start to explain that i'm disappointed at the fact i have been a customer for 2 years and they want to lock me in a 24 month (24 months!!!!) contract. I ask when my current contract expires at this point as i am sitting in front of a voda leaflet saying i can get a free n95 8gb for £30/month.

At this point i get transferred to a 'specialist' team (????) who may be able to help me. Within 5 minutes they guy had offerred me an upgrade to the n95 8gb, on my current plan with a £10 contribution. Within the space of 15 minutes I had just saved myself £290. How on earthj is that even possible?!?!?!?!? Shows what a bit of haggling and being anal can do anway :)
