Quick answer needed please motherboard studs

I am about to install new mobo. But the instructions are not clear. I can see that the studs screw into the motherboard tray and that the motherboard then lies on top of the studs. BUT then before I put the screws through the motherboard to attach it do I put the plastic washers on top of my motherboard so there is a washer between the motherboard and the screws?Or do the washers go between the stud on the tray and the mobo ontop of the washer and stud?

Usually washer goes "on top" of mobo so you have it between mobo and screw iirc.

I wondered the same thing when I installed mine a while back. In the end I didn't use the washers at all, and all has been fine.

iv'e allways put them underneath i think so i get a good ground contact between the silver ring of the mobo and the screw, now though i just dont use them atall

Don't use them - you want good contact.

Ive never used them fiber washers. But i would put them under the screw if anything.

Under the Screw to stop it tearing the Metal on the Mobo as you tighten, you will still have a good Metal to Metal Earth/Ground contact underneath and through the Screw anyhow.
