can i add 2x 1gb sticks of ocuk value ram

if i set the ram voltage to 1.9v ?????

the current geil wont run at 4-4-4-12, but runs at 5-5-5-18, on standard settings.....

There's no guarantee that different brands will run together.

But there's a more than even chance that they will run fine together at 5-5-5-18.

if xp can only support 3.1gb ofram, cant i just buy this

which is 1x1gb of ram same speed and timings as my geil.

ok so i wont be running it in 1t but apparently its only a 3% loss ?

Again there's no guarantee that it'll work.

But it would make sense if you won't be using more that the 3gb.

Tho this may be better if you won't be running 4-4-4-12.

What speed are you running your current RAM at?

Your ram should be able to run easily @800mhz 4-4-4-12 at 2.1volts!. Make sure you have this set in your bios and not at 1.8 as then it will see it at pc5300 ram.

Why would you want to run 2.5gig?. 2gig of ram at the above settings are adequate really for the majority of things and i see only 4gigs been mentioned for those running vista and not xp

as stated before bf2 desert conflict runs out of ram, uses hdd pagefile and then stutters, not a great idea when your flying an f15 at mach1
