hi there

my sandy bridge parts arrived today any iching to get it up and running have put the thing together but as my old keyboard is ps/2 and the mobo has no ps/2 ports i need something usb based.

so! play is to get a cheap wireless one from a local highstreet place near me specifically the LOGITECH Wireless Desktop MK300 most likely and then get something like the wulfking pad for gaming

question is however will the wireless work before windows loads up?
ie will i be able to enter the bios etc, forgive my ignorance but ive always use a wired one

Yep, sure. Logitech K800 here, can enter BIOS etc.

As far as your machine is concerned, it has a USB keyboard plugged in. It is then up to the receiver in your USB to handle the actual keyboard.

you can get a PS/2 to USB adapter from a well known jungle for 75p ;)

or a 2x PS/2 to 1x USB for £1.43

aye have seen those but have also ween a lot of people say they are only an adapter and not a converter meaning your ps/2 device needs to be usb compatible, kinda irevelant i want to get this now iching to get using it so gonna buy locally
