1) Hitachi Deskstar 7K2000 2TB SATA-II 32MB Cache
2) Western Digital WD TV Live HD Media Player
3) Akasa Integral P2 eSATA/USB 2.0 3.5" Hard Drive Enclosure
4) OcUK Value 2m Male - Male to Male HDMI Cable

Looks like it will all work together?

I was slightly concerned about the description of the HDMI cable saying it supports up to 1080i, I thought it didn't really matter as it was just sending a digital signal.

it's for a friend of mine, who's already totally over budget, I have the Samsung F3's sitting inside the Icybox connected to my Mac Mini which works great, but he doesn't want to go down that route, he wants something simple and as cheep as possible, within reason.

THANKS! :D

Hi Thomss

HDMI is a bit of a funny one, although it doesn't officially support the better "p" standard , chance are it will. If he has spent the money on a very high standard end TV i would advise him / you to go with this one http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CB-039-OK as its not a lot more money.

The rest of it looks fine. Im guessing you will stream data from the HDD caddy to the WD TV box?

That's correct yes, thanks for your reply. I might pick up one of them HDMI cables up anyway, I couldn't find that very cable on the site earlier and ordered everything on my list above. I'll give it a shot and then if the HDMI cable doesn't work correctly I'll be able to sort that no problem.
Thanks again for the reply.

Thomas :)
