Hey guys,

I've read Gordy's sticky.

I'm currently cutting (14.9% BF at the mo), but obviously doing weights and I'd like some constructive criticism. I would class myself as a beginner, but have been doing weights casually for a few years. I'm 25 btw.

Currently:

Running everyday - 3.5 miles

Weights split: (all 3 x 8 reps)

Tuesday

Chest / Shoulders / Biceps

Flat Bench Press
Barbell Bicep Curl
Lateral Dumbbell Raise
Incline Dumbbell bench
One arm Dumbbell Hammer
Seated Dumbbell Military Press

Thursday

Legs / Abs

Barbell Squats
Dumbbell Lunges
Calf Raises
Ab workout

Saturday

Back / Triceps

Skull Crushers
Bent Over One Arm Dumbbell Row
Deadlift
Close Grip Bench Press
Chin Ups

I know Gordy's sticky suggested Chest and Triceps on the same day, but the trainers in the gym recommend splitting the Triceps and Chest into different days, which is what I've tried to do.

I'll be aiming to bulk up a bit when I hit ~ 12% BF (or whenever I'm happy with the way I look lean-wise).

Thanks!

no exercises for your hams.are your exercises listed in order that you perform them or just randomly written down?

They are down in the order I perform them, but again, open to suggestions / improvements. I thought the straight-legged Deadlift was doing my hamstrings (amongst other things)?

add dips and wide grip pull ups, not too sure why you need 2 seperate bicep curling exercises

I would switch your biceps with your triceps.

So you are doing chest, triceps and shoulders on one day and then biceps and back on another day. Tricep exercises generally go hand in hand with a lot of chest and shoulder exercises, and a few back exercises will have your biceps involved too.

A lot of people prefer it for just that reason, ie your tris and bis aren't too tried when you get round to training them. Some have a seperate arm day (yes i know some ONLY do arms :p)
