right, it's order time...
just wondered, anyone have any thoughts on the following? it's not for games at all, (or overclocking) just lots of office stuff and web use, that's why the cheapo gfx is there... if you have a minute, please ok it, so i can get this machine underway... i wanted the badaxe motherboard, but it seems they don't have any in stock, so guess the gigabyte will do?

cheers if anyone has the time to have a scan over it.
jam.

Possible conflicts between the RAM and Mobo documented. It was mainly the 6400 NR/LA but could be possible with 5400, can anyone confirm?

i've done some more research and have come to the conclusion that i have no preference over motherboard and ram choices, so wondered what people on here use / are getting.

once i'm decided, the order goes in, so any help would be appreciated.

To be honest, if you're not a gamer or don't overclock then you only need basic yet fast RAM and motherboard, which is what I specced.

Most people on here have opted for the G.Skill memory kits, mostly the HZ set. As for motherboards, most have gone for the Gigabyte's only to find that there's lot of memory issues with them.

righty, can anyone see why this:

Asus P5B (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard (MB-151-AS)

might not be a good choice then? i'm avoiding the use of a board that might be incompatible with the memory.

speak now or forever hold your peace....

thanks so far, this is being much help to me.
