Quick CPL Filter Question

Hey all,
Got a quick question, I recently got a cpl filter. Do YOU normally keep it on the lens at all times or do you only stick it on when you need it? I keep my UV filter on all the time, just wondering if its worth leaving on the cpl filter.

Depends if your going to be taking pictures that require a CPL a lot of the time. I don't, therefore my UV stays on most of the time, unless its a sunny day with blue sky, then the CPL gets fitted. Having said that, my 150mm stays attached most of the time now which I have no filters for.

no, there are times you don't wanna use the CPL. so don't leave it on all the time.

Yup, otherwise you can end up getting vignetting at wide angles.

Most CPLs are UV protectors too. So leaving both filters on can only be a bad thing!

A CPL will also limit the amount of light getting through to the sensor. I'm not sure on the exact amount but it has to be at least a stop or two.
