Quick cpu question

I have a intel Q6600 cpu and i have installed everest to have a mess around with the everest sidebar meter. I have just noticed that on the gadget and in the everest program it says my cpu is running at 1597.9mhz, 6x, 266mhz but is it not supposed to be 2400mhz, 9x, 266mhz.
 
Thanks for the quick answers, This is a new motherboard and i had nevers seen this happen before on my old motheboard. My old board must have not had this option so i'll keep it on.
