Quick CPU Question

Hi All,

I just purchased the Devil's Canyon Core I7 4790K CPU. It has been delivered but the Corsair CW-9060016-VW CPU cooler is out of stock and I am still awaiting delivery. If I do not overclock the CPU will I be able to get away with the stock fan that comes with the I7?

I just want to get it up and running.

yeah the stock fan will be fine,just don't run any stress tests

Thanks. Would gaming be OK?

Would I be able to add the Corsair cooler at a later date easily enough?

yeah,everything will run ok

use coretemp to monitor your temperatures,just keep an eye on them but should be fine for gaming

Stock heatisnk/fan is fine for everything at stock speeds, just don't overclock.

Make sure the CPU is running the correct voltage - update BIOS revision to make sure it is etc.
