I got some QDC's from the bay as thought they are a bargain at that price! Seller has advertised it as VL4N male and female pair. So I bought 2 pairs for my new GPU block.
I got them yesterday and after checking they turned out to be VL4 not VL4N. "N" version is the non spill one with very little water spillage but this one after testing comes out about 3-4 table spoons of water on disconnection!
I have informed this to the seller and he has agreed that he made a mistake and offering a refund if I send it back Or £2 discount if I am to keep them.

I wanted them to be put with my GPU block so I can remove it easily when I want to with out flushing the loop. I could use a cloth to soak up the excess water with the VL4.

So keep em or send em?

Send them back as they obviously can't perform the task you bought them for. The whole point of QDCs is the non-spill element as far as I'm concerned. I use three VL3N QDCs in my loop and not a drop comes out when I disconnect them.

QDCs are expensive enough as it is, but they make swapping out components so quick and simple its worth getting the N models.

yeah I got them coz they were very cheap for the advertised type(VL4N), £30 with P&P for 2 pairs of VL4N's. But they turned out to be VL4's so he offered a partial refund of £8 which I accepted. mainly becoz I tend to change my GPU a lot. I can use a cloth or some paper towels to absorb the water. Also the way I am going to fit them its going to be away from components.

I would definately keep them. It doesnt matter at all if they spill slightly aslong as they fully seal once disconnected. Grab a cloth and enjoy your bargain! :D
