Quick Disconnect with no Female attachment secure?

Hey all,

I was wondering if I had a T piece with a quick disconnect male attached and only attach the female when I was going to drain it.
Would the loop be safe from leaks? to have it running with an uncoupled QDC.

I think they'd be fine, but I've not used QDC fittings before.

Alternately, you could use a valve fitting that lets you screw a stop fitting in for extra protection. And then attach a regular fitting rather than a second QDC.

yup the valve plus and endcap (just in case) was my choice as well.

although I did forget to put it in the loop after I bought it. yup doh! I know. I had to turn the whole case upside down to avoid draining the loop the hard way and then fitting the valve.

It should be ok, but I would rather use a valve and plug which you can be sure won't leak.

I'm probably just going to use a ball valve, I was just checking if there was something sleeker I could do

Qdc fittings are prone to the odd dribble. Not sure on bitspower but loo lance have a bit of bad press here and there
