Do you have to be connected via wifi to play say my sister in her room on hers?

No you dont, you can play against your sister without having to go online.

The DS can communite with other DS's directly through it's own wireless protocol for playing multiplayer with nearby DS's.

Can you play some multiplayer games with one game? Say player one has Mario Kart can player two (with out mario kart) play multi with player one?

Yes they can. The non mk ds can download from the ds with the cart.

Yes, It will say 'single card download play' on the back of the case if it can do this.

Is there a list of games anywere which support this? Most online shops don't say.

Erm...not sure. Pretty much all multi games support single card and multi card play. Not sure about a list tho, says on box as someone mentioned earlier, you could always just go to gamefaqs.com and check for particular games.

wicked cheers, was unsure of this and a kid at work wants to buy a DS so i can play mario kart with him at lunch :cool:

uhuh. gotta get some other in the office to get one before i finish at the end of next week. so far 1 has and another is planning it.

waiting for Amazon to get stock of Mario Kart.... 1-2 weeks they said last week. GOt it for like £15 from them so it better come in!
