Morning :)

Quick one for you Excel gurus, I am making a form for my engineers to fill in, many of the answers are simply yes or no so I would like to have boxes with "Yes" and "No" faintly visible in the background so they know which one to tick.

I've tried by simply using a grey font, but it just comes out the same as the rest.

Any ideas?

Cheers :)

Because it's a document which will be filled in with pen manually.

Fantastic suggestion though, I completely forgot about dropdown boxes.

**Thinks of ways to use dropdown boxes to have a play**

Switch on the developer tab (options > popular > show developer tab)

From dev tab: insert > *select the checkbox*

Then place it where you want and rename to 'Yes' or 'No'

^ Yep was about to suggest the same thing

Depending on what version of Excel (2010 for me currently) its data - data validation - select list - then enter 'Yes','No' (I think may be with out the ')

Then copy format to all area you want to have that on
