Quick Exhaust Question!

Hi

I've had my Zetec S for about a week now and everytime i drive it the exhaust pops when i change gear.
It only really happens when i change up and mostly happens when i change from 1st to second.
I love the sound it makes but is it normal and does it cause any damage??
The exhaust is a full system made by Powerflow.
One of my friends told me the same happens on his Clio but it's because it's cold.
I think it may be because there isnt enough back pressure and the pressure changes cause a popping sound.

maybe theres excess fuel getting into the exhaust then getting burnt, causing the popping noice, dont quote me on that though.

How can i sort this out then?
re-setting ECU ?

its probably nothing to worry about, unless its particularly loud or pops frequently. Is there an aftermarket chip fitted in it?

do you have an aftermarket intake/filter installed? or have you had a "super-chip" put in?
