quick fan q

whats flavour of the month for fans these days? i'm needing to get one to perform a ghetto solution involving installing a fan outside my psu to stop the internal one activating [making a buzzing noise in the process]

thinking something like the corsair series, although i'm not sure if it's worth getting a dual pwm pack of the sp120's, that'll give me another to mount infront of the hard drive bay.

any reccomendations? i'm considering scythe gentle typhoons simply for in the long run if/when I go watercooled.

The Scythe GT seem to have good things said about them. As do the Corsairs.

Open the PSU, check the fan mounting to see if its a bad mount causing the buzzing, if not then remove the fan and replace it with a different one, sorted.

i'll maybe take a look at the psu while i'm getting this cooler installed, but it'll only buzz when it starts the fan up, at full load when the fan is going constantly it's quiet so I don't think its a physical issue of the fan hitting anything.

PWM makes a ton of noise? hmm, maybe better to go for non pwm case fans and maybe even rig the cpu cooler straight to the psu and just have it running full bore all the time?
