G/fs looking at getting a new camcorder but they all seem to use firewire to upload the recorded footage onto a PC, problem is, hers hasnt got firewire.
Being an older PC (1.2 Athlon) i am unsure of the mobo make/model. Is there anyway to add firewire to a PC or does it need a mobo with a firewire connection. Dont really want to have to upgrade it just yet as it just isnt worth it!!
It may be a daft question but ive no experience of firewire, ive even got it on my new PC but never bothered setting it up!
And no, she cant use mine and then tranfer it across, she has a habit of breaking it!!
