Afternoon all,
I have recently purchased a P7P55D-E and the Patriot Viper 2 Sector 5 4GB (2x2GB) PC3-18000C9 2250MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit along with an Intel i5 760.
I am currently in the process of setting the memory at the correct clock speed however i am having some major problems.
There is a X.M.P profile on the board with all the correct settings for the memory and voltages etc. when i choose the profile the machine saves the BIOS settings and then fails to POST. I reset the machine and it says overclocking failed etc and sends me back into the BIOS.
The BIOS is on the latest version.
I have given up on this profile and tried changing all the settings manually but still has exactly the same problem, whenever i get the memory BLCK above 210 it fails to post.
Im not sure what else i can do...
Current settings are -
CPU Ratio - 14
BLCK Frequency - 208
PCI Frequency - 100
DRAM Frequency - 2080
CPU Voltage - 1.2875
IMC Voltage - 1.2625
DRAM Voltage - 1.6875
CPU PLL Voltage - 1.800
Memory timings are 9-9-9-27
With these settings the machine is stable and runs fine, but whenever i increase it anymore or select the XMP Profile which automatically adjust the settings the machine no longer posts.
Any help would be greatly appriciated.
