Quick HD question

Have an old 320gb samsung in the loft that I want to add to my rig (500gb getting a bit tight). Is it just a case of plugging it in?

Currently on windows 7 64bit and think the harddrive will have vista 64bit (want to wipe everything from the 320 though) if that makes any difference

Plug it in, boot windows7, either use disk management or just right click it in My computer, and format.
