Just in town trying to find somewhere that doesn't rob you for hdmi cables as need x2 3 metre cables for system.

Just wondering what these hdmi swithers are like and if any good.

As would I be correct in thinking I could just then run 1 hdmi cable to my tv and all other hdmi based components (ps3, dvd and sky box) goes into hdmi swither?

What's my best options?

Thanks

Honeslty it will most likely be hit and miss. Cheap HDMI switches are a complete lottery, you could be fine with one for a tenner, or most liekly it just won't work at all or with 'x' equipment.

Good luck, can't help much more as I don't use real shops that much anymore :)

I can vouch for the "Neet® Mini 3 Port HDMI Smart Auto Switch" type things on ebay.

I tried loads of passive switches which all sucked, but this one works perfectly. That's with XBOX360, Virgin HD and a NMT media box.
I got cheap cables off ebay too, but I only used 1m lenghts.

Just seen that 'neet' in tesco, looks exactly the same £15 just branded differently.

Just had a look round town and HDMI at 3 mtrs cost stupid money.

I know they dont need to, as have read plenty of reviews about hdmi cables.

either thatcable.com or even on ocuk, i bought ocuk's 10m hdmi cable and seems to be fine :p
