Just getting my head around finally sorting out my home network, everyone is in the same workgroup, and I plan to sort out all users and passwords so i can set different levels of access to various shares but I'm wondering:

Will it cause any problems having multiple computers with the same user/password connecting to eachother on a network simultaneously? (all win XP Pro)

so If I have 2 PCs both logged on as the same user, at the same time, will they still work as normal and be able to sccess shared files or does each pc need to be logged in with a different user account?

Thanks in advance

you shouldn't have any problems, I tend to run the same usernames/passwords on most of my PC's on my network and they all work fine. When connetiong to shares I am able to use the same username and password in multple locations at the same time, i think its just more for authentication than anything, plus windows doesnt like blank passwords when it comes to connectiong to network shares, remote desktop etc
