quick housing tax question

quick one..

Does the ammout of adults living in a house effect the tax paid? If in the given situation the house is mortgaged / owned by a couple+kids but another adult moves into a spare room..

Housing tax as in council tax? If so then no unless it goes down to one adult then you get a 25% discount IIRC.
