SoapSurgeon said:Excellent! Im starting to warm to the idea now. I've noticed that the majority of the games i play are also on mac as well so may not even bother installing windows on it![]()
Another question regarding upgrades: can i stick other pci(? dunno if they use pci) cards into it like a tv card? As it would seem a waste having such a huge screen and not being able to double it up as a tv.
Cheers,
Matt
p.s. I hate apple... they price their products perfectly so start off with the cheapest and think "oh, ill just add a bit more ram" then the price is so close to the next one up you think "well i may as well get that one". This process repeats until youve convinced yourself to buy the Mac Daddy 24".
I have a Miglia TV tuner. It plugs into a USB port in the back of my 20" iMac and works perfectly. It's a freeview tuner so you get quite a few channels and you can record anything straight to the hard drive or sync to your iPod. If you're not in an area of strong freeview reception you may need a signal booster for your arial.
If it helps I've just recently sold my PC to buy this 20" iMac and there is nothing that has made me regret the decision. I can do everything I did on Windows, better.
forgot about usb! I suppose as long as the tv cards software is available for mac there wont be any problems. Thanks for all the help, think im definately going ahead with it, might take a trip to the mac store later today.
