quick internet problem

Hello all,

IM having trouble geting on the edgehill website tognight for the girlfriend to do her work.

It wont load at all but a mate has tried it and its fine. If I got through a online proxy server such as www.hidemyass.com it works fine.

Ive tryed restarting the rounter, pinging the site(times out) seems the only way I can get on it is through a proxy can anyone shed any light on this for me?

Works fine here.

Your ISP must be having issues somewhere.

Hmm, Im with Orange and I got a letter saying Im useing it to much and in breach of my fair use policy :eek:

as you do, and I would be capped. Could this be to do with it?

Doubtful if that's the only site that's being affected.

Normally, they'll just cut your speed right down.

Well I cant connect to steam on any computer in my house or that website so there must be something going on

Can you do a trace route for the original site please?

Windows Key + R > cmd > then type "tracert" followed by the url.

Also, try to see if you can get on the steam site, and if not, a trace of that please.

You shouldn't be getting "Destination Host unreachable" errors. This suggests a routing issue to me, and the fact that your router is timing out on those traces probably isn't helping.

So, it seems that your ISP, or someone along the way on the route you'd take to those sites has an outage.

Hey again, try a few of these and see if you have any luck, all are on the same server as the steampowered one so I doubt you will.
