Quick memory question

I've got 1GB memory via a matched pair of 512m Crucial memory sticks. I was thinking of getting 2 more but Im sure I read in here somewhere that 4 sticks wont overclock. Did I understand that correctly or can I overclock with 2 sticks then just put 2 more in ?

My motherboard is an MSI K8 Neo2 Platinum and I have an AMD 4000 939 cpu.

You can overclock with 4 sticks in a 939 set-up, but you'll need to drop to 2T and possibly a lower divider than you would be able to use with just 2 sticks.
