Quick MOT Question please...

Just had my car in for it's MOT - failed on handbrake. :(

My question is probably a common one - the current MOT runs out on Saturday (19th) - can I still drive the car until Saturday under the certificate that passed it stating it runs out on 19th? Or because it's failed today does it render the MOT certificate up til the 19th void?

Many thanks for the help!

Cheers!

Jack

I think the old MOT certificate (that runs out on the 19th) is still valid unless it fails on something that is "deemed dangerous"

You are not allowed to drive a car on the public highway if it is not in a roadworthy condition - regardless of whether it has an MoT certificate or not. So, your car still has an MoT, but is not in a roadworthy condition.
