Hi All,

I am about to buy a complete new PC. I am looking to get some ram that is slated for operating @ 2.20v-2.3v - Looking around at normal generic ram they operate at 1.8-2.0v So here's my Question:

Will my computer boot up with just this high performance ram stuck in for the first time.

or will i have to buy some cheaper ram, boot into bios, increase the volts then put the new performance ram in?

Thank in advance!

Noto
ps. I do not own any DDR2 sticks of ram at the moment

The high voltage memory will boot at 1.8v with looser timings than their advertised timings. It's usually 667mhz 5-5-5-15 or 800mhz 5-5-5-15, and you then set the advertised settings yourself.

sweet thanks for the info ;) i actually read it a long time ago but forgot to hit submit reply. lol

didnt wanna buy all new kit and then it not work and scratch me head hehe.
