My new pc (see sig) is going to have a 250GB SATAII Hitachi HD.
Would I get better performance by:
A) Leaving Pagefile on the SATA with windows standard windows-controlled pagefile
B) Leaving pagefile on the SATA and setting to custom size (1.5x RAM)
C) Installing my old ATA133 Maxtor Diamondmax 8 and running page file off that but leaving it controlled by Windows
D) Installing my old ATA133 Maxtor Diamondmax8 and running the pagefile off that and setting it to a custom size (1.5x ram)
My maxtor is used to hold a lot of music, so if I get 2GB of ram soon, the pagefile on it may get split up to form the 5GB. If I'm in the wrong forum, tell me and I'll repost this in the windows forum.
