Quick parking ticket question.

I don't think this ticket will stand but if someone could give me an opinion it would be appreciated.

I parked on zig-zags next to a pelican crossing, walked 30 seconds to a shop, came out 3 or 4 mins later and the warden was about 10 paces in front of me.
As I went to get in my car he says you have a ticket, and if you drive off it will come through the post to you.

NO ticket was placed on my car nor did he take any pictures, my understanding is that if the ticket isn't on the car it doesn't stand.

please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

They usually photograph it when they place a ticket on your car so I guess he would be lacking that.

Enjoy the ticket and count yourself lucky a cop didn't find you as (afaik) they can issue 3 points and a fine as parking on zig zags is normally a dangerous obstruction under The Zebra, Pelican and Puffin Pedestrian Crossings Regulations and General Directions 1997 as an endorsable offence. Pay the fine and count yourself lucky that's all you're getting.

Yeh he mentioned that, I think he said 3 points and a £3000? fine ?????

Muppet tbh - you ask for clarification yet call troll when people put you right!

As said, zig zags are there for a reason, you don't need a ticket on your screen to actually have recieved one.

Pay the ticket & learn a lesson.

While you're a pillock for parking there. I guess when they ticket comes, you could always turn round to them and say "prove it". Of course if there's CCTV of the location, then you're a bit screwed really ;)

You asked to be corrected if you're wrong, which I did.

What made you think it was a good idea to park there, what was the emergency preventing you from finding literally any other place which would have been better.

I can't think of a single reason bar maybe having just run somebody over, where I would park on zig zags for 3 or 4 MINUTES!

Your comments just go to prove what sort of person you are and has now clarified to everyone why you got the ticket in the first place. Have fun paying the fine !! Troll tbh phfffft
 
I hope three points and a £3000 fine come through your door. Not only was your parking inconsiderate of other people and the law, potentially dangerous and downright dumb, but your subsequent attitude when called on it stinks.

Hope they throw the book at you. Muppet.

Surely IF he's telling the truth, then that'll be just the same as if he'd physically placed the ticket on the car... So you can just wait and see if you get anything in the post or not.

If it was a copper though he'd do you for 3 points - so don't park on zigzags again!
 
I suppose if you're sure they have no evidence i.e. photo you could get away with it.

But unlike those other times where frankly parking wardens are being silly, you have parked blatantly somewhere you shouldn't.

Also where you parked is definitely one of the few parking offences that the police can get involved with, which means it isn't just silly private parking wardens out to fleece.
 
I guess all those taking the moral high ground never break traffic or parking rules :rolleyes: give the guy a break, who cares if he gets one over the system fair play
