Quick paypal fee's question...

Just a quick one if anybody knows, the paypal site is a little vague.

i have a premier account with a paypal balance. (money actually in the account). i want to send money to another paypal account. am i right in thinking that if i send money to someones "personal" paypal account, it wont incur a charge? but it wil if its a premier or business account?

It will incur a charge yes, usually about 3%.

yeah, about £21. I hate paypal and ebay, for someone to py me £325 for an item on ebay, it cost me ~£10 in paypal fees!!! its a joke :/

i know, ideally id like to totally erase them from anything i do but unfortuneatly the situation means paypal is the only logical way to go. im charging £25 for something and they are taking a £1.05 cut each time. pretty shocking :/

IIRC the fees go down slightly as the amount of money being sent increases. It's somewhere in their FAQ.

Use Masspay, only costs the sender 65p to send

If its a low risk transfer - ie someone you know you can do it as a gift then you dont get any fees, but loose the right to claim against paypal if anything goes wrong.
