Quick Plumbing Question - replacing taps

Just a quick one, but need to replace my kitchen sink taps (as the splines have been stripped on one of the tap heads).

They are currently copper pipe all the way to the taps, with inline isolator valves, but thinking the easiest way for a plumbing novice like myself, is to replace with push-fit flexi hoses?

Presumably I just isolate the water, cut the pipes, undo the taps, then fit the new taps, connect the flexi hose to the taps, then push fit the other end over the copper pipe?

Here's my shopping list so far - am I missing anything?

Yes If they have isolating valves just turn them off, cut the pipe after the valve, clean the cut end up with some wire wool and slide on your flexi hoses.

Nearly all taps now come with flexible pipes. It's just so much quicker to fit them. The only question you need to as is what is your water pressure like. Some taps are listed as suitable for low pressure. These are required for bungalows with water tanks in the loft, or in some very low pressure areas. Often the low pressure ones have two flexible pipes for the hot. Each one is plumbed in to the hot, and doubling up like that doubles the flow for the same pressure.

Struggling to undo the compression fitting that connects to the bottom of the tap at the minute...

Going to try a heat gun on it.

Ended up pulling the tap up and "sawing" through the thread by drilling a series of holes and finishing with a hacksaw, as couldn't get the fitting undone (which meant I couldn't get the back washer off completely)

New cold tap installed with push fit hose, and all working - will do the hot one at the weekend.
