Quick polishing question

Can I leave polish on overnight i.e. when the polish hardens goes white? Done half the car but not passenger side. Can it wait until the morning or is it bad for the paint?

it won't harm the paint, i just would have thought it would require a bit more work to remove

I wouldn't as it is abbrasive. Do it with wax though!
