Quick PS3 Region Question...

Hi all,

My friend here is going to Canada next week.

Would PS3 games from Canada work on a UK PS3?

...also - Would the Blu-Ray films work?

The games most likely will as they are usually region free, the Blu Ray's may not as a lot are region encoded, best to check each title before buying.

Region 0 = Region Free

The PS3 is region coded but the media is region free, but let him check the boxes anyway.

Canada should be fine for PS3 games ( I get most of mine from there

) Blue ray disks you can check online search the forums here or AV for link to the list.
Any PS2 games he gets in Canada wont work though as only PS3 games are multi region (up to developers discretion) not found or heard of any PS3 games which aren't multi region

I just checked my Motorstorm and Resistance boxes and there are Region 2 games, NOT all regions, but I did get them as freebies from Sony as an offer.

My Black Hawk Down and Casino Royale Blu-Ray's are All Regions though.
