Quick PSU Q

Friends comp recently been behaving strangely e.g Won't turn on, or turns on after couple of hours etc. So he changed the PSU to X-POWER (400 watts).
Now the problem is everything powers up fine, except the USB's don't work, also the keyboard / mouse inputs.

Do you guys think the PSU is not sufficient?

his spec is;

AMD x2 3800
MATX AS Rock Mobo (can't remember make)
Rad X850XT
2GB Ram
200GB HDD
x16 DVDRW

Can you give us any more information about the PSU? In theory the PSU should be capable given the components, my system isn't that far removed and has been running on a 400w PSU for about 3 years now but then it is a X-Pro.

all i know is the PSU is made by X-Power and it is 400 Watts. I know the PSU is rubbish but the problem is the USB and the keyboard / mouse inputs don't function.
Is there any possibility the Mobo could be broke?

The motherboard could indeed be broken or it is possible that the USB has been disabled in the bios but without a working keyboard it is impossible to tell. Do you have any other PSUs you could test it with?
