Quick PSU question

Have you considered GTX470SLI instead? :D
You probably only need a decent 750W/850W PSU with overclocking included, and the GTX470 price to performance ratio is better :p

Well, like I said, I probably won't be able to afford 480 SLI, so I'm either going for a single GTX 480, or GTX 470 SLI. I'm more set on the GTX 480.

I have narrowed my choice down to either the Corsair HX1000 or the beQuiet Dark Power Pro 1000W.

Anyone here who can recommend which one is better, or are they both very good PSUs? I just want something good, reliable and solid :)

looking at your watts i do believe that 1000w would be alright for your setup and also give you a headroom, for future upgrade. My personal view on the 1200w in your earlier listing is overkill unless you going to be doing a tri sli 480and using intel 980x, or intel xeon cpu, at this stage with the components out there, there is no real need right now, give a couple of years and that would be standard and a power station link to your mains.

Recommend which one??????...., well i would say it would have to be the price and quality, i like enermax psu, so i only stay with that company, both brands are solid and reliable, i would say corsair due to it being a highly popular psu, as you can tell in a lot of people signature....

Yeah, both are pretty competitive in pricing. I might buy the BeQuiet as that is the slightly newer PSU, so will have better efficiency. But then again, I will probably change my mind again before I buy...typical.

I really want a Corsair PSU, but the old HX1000 doesn't seem as efficient as the newer BeQuiet series. But then again, maybe I am wrong :p Maybe someone from OcUK would be able to help, as they deal with these PSUs all the time in builds :)
