Came across some poor little bugger completely spread out on the road. It's breathing is rather laboured and I don't think he's going to make it :(.

I've called the rspca and they advise I take him to a vet over an hour away or wait for a call back to see if there's someone in the area who can help it.

I'm honestly not bothered about the drive but can anyone think of another option?

He's wrapped up in my car which is warm and dark I'm not sure what else I can do for him.

I get it put to sleep by the vet

I had a dog once that was hit by a car and it had to have pin & plates etc put inside it and afterwards it was always in pain ..:(

Sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind.

Helium balloons. If the poor fella is going to go to the great scratch post in the sky, then at least let him go out in style and with an awesome view.

Yea not to be be cruel, but if the poor thing is as far gone as you seem to be implying I'd be going for the spade myself. An hours drive to the vets is only prolonging the agony for the cat.

RSPCA being a bit thick despite giving her my address thrice she put it into the system wrong. Got a call on my way thankfully ended up at another one only 20minutes away(in the same direction).

Poor sod fell off the seat despite being penned in. However the fall seemed to alleviate his breathing and he was strong enough to put up one hell of a fight taking him from the car to the vet.

She said it didn't look good but I guess him being on liquids rather than being put down straight away is some sign of hope!

Hopefully they'll tell me if he survived in the morning.

Anyone know how to get blood out of upholstery?

(I think it's more the vets that they have access to. I have one barely 10 minutes away)
