I'm after a new eSata to eSata cable to connect my Icybox to my pc as the one that came with it is very short. I want one 2m or longer but i don't want to compromise the integrity of data transferred or lose any speed.

I was looking for something on ebay:

3m eSATA to eSATA High Speed Cable 3 Gb Lead External

The info listed is:
PRODUCT INFROMATION
3 METRE STRAIGHT ESATA TO ESATA DATA CABLE
3GB/S
EXTERNAL USE
Connects an external eSATA device to a eSATA controller with this high speed cable, Metal latches on the connectors ensure secure contact to both PC and device.

FEATURES:
Supports SATA data transfer speeds of up to 3Gbps (ie Sata II).
ESATA 7 pin male to ESATA 7 pin male.
7 wire data cable which is very durable and flexible.
External SATA Data Cable
Data transfer speeds in excess of 300Mb/sec

ALL CABLES AND ADAPTERS ARE FULLY ROHS COMPLIANT ENSURING THE HIGHEST OF STANDARDS IN THE EU.

They are £5.75 delivered. Would one of these be OK?

The eSATA spec only allows for cables up to 2m long so with anything longer you're on your own pretty much. It might work, it might give you problems.
