Quick question about imaging to SSD

Would I be able to image my current Windows 7 install to an SSD or would I have to install from scratch for Windows to properly recognise the drive as being an SSD, what about offset's too?

It will image ok, well mine did atleast using true image but I still had to format and do a reinstall as my offset was not set right

If you use Acronis True Image to restore your Windows 7 image to your SSD, just make sure you only check the NTFS option first (uncheck the MBR bit). Once you've restored that then check the MBR bit and uncheck the NTFS option. This should ensure that the partitiion offset is correct (should be 1,024 K).
