Hi

Just done a fresh install of Feisty and ran Automatix2 with the install Debian Menus option - however this menu doesn't seem to be displayed. If i run 'preferences/main menus' it is unticked but if i tick it it doesn't do anythhing, and when i look again its become unticked

any ideas how to fix this?

thanks

hmmmm

just noted there are other menu items that have not appeared

maybe some sort of permission problem?

i think i found the prob - though don’t know how to fix it

i did sudo alacarte and there is the debian menu as an option and all ‘ticked’

it seems to be some sort of permission problem - any idea how i can fix this?

thanks

if i do alacarte:
debian menu is not shown in the alacarte window

if i do sudo alacarte:
debian menu IS shown in the alacarte window

menu is installed - according to synaptic

so my problem seems to be that the Debian menus were installed as ROOT (only) hence me not being able to see them

any idea how to fix?

thanks
