Im probably going to be buying the playstation move over the weekend but i would just like to find out first what i really need in order to get the most out of it all.
i know that you get the glowing ball-stick and camera in the pack but ive seen people playing with a 2nd glow-ball-stick and others that are using one without the glowing bit on the end but with an analogue stick/dps instead.

so what am i best off with, or is it best to get 2 glow-sticks and one of the directional controllers too?

sorry for non-technical terms but i dont know how else to describe what i mean :D

The move controller is the glow-ball on the end, the other analog bit is the navigation controller (you dont need this as you can use the ps3 controllers analog stick etc, not as confortable etc).

You can get a PS3 Move starter pack, has the move controller, camera and a game/demo disc.

Thats all you need to get started, but depending on the game, some games will need the navigation controller in game and you might find it easier than using the ps3 controller.

How many people are you wanting to play on the PS3 with Move.

it will likely be one at first, if it turns out to be enjoyable/interesting games i will get 2.
sounds like the ideal setp is the glowball stick and navigation controller?
does the navigation stick have any movement recognition? only reason i ask is ive seen a few videos where people are waving 2 glowball sticks around such as dual-wielding weapons etc

Make sure you get a real game for it or something (aka have a real plan for using it).

My flat mate got one free with her ps3 and between 3 of us (all now have ps3's randomly) we have not found one sensible use for it, my dreamcast fishing rod got more gaming hours hour side of sega bass fishing than the move.... (fishing rod vs steering wheel olympics was a very awesome weekend)

It tends to be casual stuff that uses two Move controllers at once, shooters like Killzone 3 and Resident Evil 5 use one Move + one Navigation. Can someone enlighten me to what setup Heavy Rain uses?

Haven't tried it myself but I would have thought it needs Move + Navi.

what other games are available like bowling and stuff?

also do the navigation controllers rumble when using guns?

The Move rumbles, but don't think the Navi does?

Quite a few games on the PSN like High Velocity Bowling, Planet Mini Golf, Top darts, Hustle kings (pool) & the excellent Tumble.

Check out the PSN sale atm as most of the Move games are reduced and it gives you a good idea what's available.

There's another bowling game due for release soon but it's retail.
