Quick question for a friend

Case: Silverstone Raven RV01 (customised)
CPU: 1055T @ 3.5Ghz
CPU Cooler: CM V8
MB: Asus Crosshair II Formula (RoG)
RAM: 8GB OCZ SLi Edition DDR2 Clocked @ 1Ghz
Current GPU: nVidia 9800GTX+
Current PSU: CM SilentPro Gold 1000W (can peak 1200W)
HDD: Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB

My friend is thinking of getting a brand new bunch of GTX480's, 3 in fact and just wanted to know what power supply you would recommend that he runs. I would have thought at least 1200W but can anybody else shed some light on this?
