Quick question for the lorry drivers

I have been meaning to ask this for years but never get round to it.

When driving along the motorway at night, almost all of the HGVs in the oncoming direction have what appears to be two blue LED lights in the bottom centre of the windscreen. I have seen it on smaller trucks as well as the HGVs.

What is it?

Why do truckers always overtake other trucks on inclines as well???

They'll happily sit behind each other on flats or downhill but seem to be drawn to the fast lane on a hill and then go no where!

Because a full truck will be slow on a incline and an empty truck will be faster so they want to overtake!

Heh, you'd think that wouldn't you... but it rarely seems to be the case. They usually just sit side by side for a good mile before finally getting past. It's not even worth the effort imo.

Lol I'm going 2mph quicker than you boy-o.... let's overtake! Would be easier to just ease off.

Because most lorrys these days are limited, so on the downhill they'll all go the same speed!

Uphill, as others have said, depends on loads etc. for the rate they can climb the it!

:D So a 70 tonne loaded lorry will go down a hill the same speed as an empty lorry will it :p
Motors has brought me the laughs lately.
